状语是修饰动词的动作的。顾名思义，方式状语修饰的是动作的方式。

方式状语有三种形式：

• 副词
• 短语
• 从句

方式状语副词

表示做事的方式的副词，如badly, carefully, eagerly, happily, sadly等。

• She checked the documents carefully. 她小心地检查了文档 (how did she check the documents?)。
• They lived happily ever after. 他们之后幸福生活在一起。（how did they live?）

方式状语引导词有as if/though, as 和 the way， 用来表示动作的方式

• He spoke with Li Ming happily as if they had been friends for many years. 他快乐得和李明说话，好像他们是多年的老朋友。

The way

• You should live your life the way your elder brother did. 你应该和你的哥哥一样生活。
